Christchurch International Airport is located 10kms from the Bealey Quarter. Travelling time is usually 20-30 minutes, however, extra time should be allowed for peak hour traffic. Transport services, taxis or any other transport requirements may be arranged through our reception, as well as information about public transport options.

We ask that alcohol be only consumed within the privacy of your room or in the fully licensed The Bealey Bar and Restaurant building.

Located onsite at The Bealey, the bar and restaurant is open from 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week. A wide selection of beverages, cocktails and non-alcoholic options are available along with a extensive menu.

Two BBQs are located in The Courtyard for guest use until 9pm. Please see reception for instructions on how to use them and cooking utensils.

Breakfast is served in The Bealey Restaurant from 7am daily. Room service can be ordered via the QR code in your room (Studio and Garden Rooms only)

We have complimentary car parking available throughout the Bealey Quarter, however, the Bealey Quarter takes no responsibility for damage or loss of your vehicle while parked onsite. We strongly recommend you do not leave any items in your vehicle that would attract opportunists. Street parking is also available on Bealey Avenue and Packe Street.

The Bealey Restaurant and Bar offers great, barista made coffee every day from 7am to 11pm.

Shared cooking facilities are available free to use in The Lodge at any time. A large fridge, oven, microwaves, hot water, cooking utensils and cooking appliances are available. Please ensure you clean up after use and leave tidy for the next guest. Additional cleaning charges will apply to guests who do not clean up after themselves.

A vending machine is located in the foyer of The Lodge and is Paywave compatible. For a quick snack or cold drink, we have a wide selection of options available.

The Bealey Restaurant and Bar is open daily from 7am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  As an accommodation guest, you can receive a $10 food and beverage discount upon presenting your room key card in the venue.

For your safety and security, we provide two room keys per room. If you lose your key, please see reception, so we can cancel the card and create a new one. If you lock yourself out of your room after hours please ring 021 328 336.

Room service is available from 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week. During peak demand hours, food orders please call (03) 366 9958 for room service menu at the back of this compendium. For all orders, please call (03) 366 9958. Payment can be made on delivery with either EFTPOS, credit card or cash. We don’t provide a charge back option. Once you have finished your meal, please place your tray outside your room.

All guest rooms and public areas throughout the complex are equipped for guest safety and security with cameras operating 24/7. For noise complaints or to report a guest or security concern, please contact reception immediately or 0800 115 043 during business hours or on 021 328 336 after hours.

Christchurch, known as “The Garden City”, has views and attractions to keep the most avid sightseer in awe. There are many quality tours available, from short city tours to day trips into our magnificent countryside. For further information, please contact reception who will be delighted to tailor an excursion to suit your requirements.

Can be arranged through reception and are available 24 hours per day. Alternatively, if you wish to organise your own taxi arrangements, please quote your name, Bealey Quarter and 263 Bealey Ave and your room number to the taxi company.

A single long, steady bell is the signal to vacate the building in case of an emergency. The assembly point is Packe Street. Do not take baggage or bags from your room. For yours and others personal safety please follow the instructions of our staff, who have been trained to react in these situations. Evacuation procedure instructions are located near your entry door.

For your convenience, an express checkout service is provided. Please place your keys in the drop box located by the side door of reception before you depart.

In the case of the smoke detector sounding, please evacuate the room immediately and advise reception. If closed, call 021 328 336 immediately. Emergency procedures are located by your room entry door. Please contact reception if you require assistance in the case of an emergency on 0800 115 043. If closed, call 021 328 336.

For assistance with injury or illness the Bealey Quarter has First Aid certified staff who can assist with basic first aid. For emergencies, please dial 111 immediately.

A hairdryer is located in your wardrobe.

Your room will be serviced daily unless requested otherwise or the do not disturb sign is posted on your door handle. Housekeeping is available between 9am and 2pm daily. If you require anything to enhance your stay, please contact reception.

Ice or ice buckets are available on request by contacting The Bealey on (03) 366 9958.

Self service washing machines and dryers are available in the guest laundry, located on the ground floor of The Lodge. An iron and ironing board can be located here also. The cost is $4.00 per wash and $4.00 per dry and each wash or dry takes around 40 minutes. We also sell sachets of laundry powder, $2.00 per pack at reception.

If you need additional towels, blankets or pillows to make your stay more comfortable, please contact reception.

All items that have been found are held by reception. If you have lost or misplaced any of your personal belongings, please contact reception during opening hours. Perishable and valuable items are stored for 90 days and are then given away to the Christchurch City Mission if unclaimed.

The Bealey Quarter offers short term storage for your luggage. If you need assistance with the collection or delivery of luggage, please contact reception.

All of the rooms and enclosed public areas in the Bealey Quarter are designated non-smoking. The non-smoking policy applies to both occupants and visitors in these rooms. If smoking occurs during your stay a cleaning fee will be charged.

In the event of an earthquake, crouch and take cover under or beside a solid object or wall. We would recommend the desk as the best option. Please do not attempt to evacuate the building unless the alarms sound. Do not run as an injury is more likely to occur. Stay put until the shaking stops, then proceed to evacuate the building if necessary. The assembly point is on Packe street.

The power in New Zealand is $240 volts. Please contact reception for a transformer if your electrical equipment is not compatible.

Each room has a smart television which you are welcome to use to log in to Netflix or other personal streaming accounts. Alternatively, SKY TV is also available.
